Vivint considers a sale to be a scheduled installation appointment (all of Vivint's systems are professionally installed), which occurs over-the-phone after a sales representative collects a deposit payment from the customer that is equal to their first month's monitoring service fee (usually ~$40). Cancelled appointments are still considered commissionable sales.
